SUNDAY AM AND KIDS

Sunday AM KidMin - 9:30 am

At Heyworth Christian Church, we believe children are not just the future of the church; they are an important part of the church right now. Our desire is to help kids begin a lifelong journey of following Jesus in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and rooted in truth.

We are committed to creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment where kids can learn about God, build friendships, and grow in their understanding of who Jesus is. Through age-appropriate teaching, worship, and interactive experiences, we help children see how the Bible connects to their everyday lives.

Our goal is not just to share information, but to help form a foundation of faith—partnering with families to guide children as they take their first steps toward becoming apprentices of Jesus.

Questions and answers to help your first visit a great experience:

  • When should I arrive? Consider arriving at least 15 minutes before services start. This will give you time to get from your car to our KidsMin Guest Services Check-In/Welcome Desk, where you can check your child in.
  • Where should I park? When you arrive, you will be able to park in the main parking lot located behind the church. Our main entrance is located under the parking awning.
  • Where do I go once I’m in the building? An information center (Welcome Center) is available in the Fellowship Hall. Our friendly volunteers will help you check-in your children and find your way to the classrooms. Just to let you know, to ensure we keep your kids safe, our welcome team volunteers will ask you for a little demographical information.
  • What should my children wear? School clothes are what most kids wear. Some kids like to dress up a little, but most of the kids will be in casual clothes.
  • Does my child need to bring anything? No, unless they would like to. If you have a child in the nursery, bring your diaper bag with whatever you need for him or her to have while you’re in adult service. If your child has a Bible, we encourage them to bring that. They do not need to participate in the offering unless they would like to do so.
  • Can I take my children to church with me? Yes, you may. However, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of our nursery and children’s programs. If your child does attend church with you, there are clip boards with activities attached located at the Kids’ Guest Services Check-In/Welcome Desk.
  • What will my child do while I’m in church? We have Nursery and Junior Church based upon age.

Nursery

  • Birth – 3 years

Our nursery provides a safe, caring space for infants and toddlers. You can enjoy the worship service with confidence, knowing your child is being lovingly cared for by trusted volunteers.

Junior Church

  • 3 years – Kindergarten
  • 1st – 3rd Grade
  • 4th – 6th Grade

In Junior Church, kids experience faith in a way that’s fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate. Through engaging Bible stories, energetic large group worship, and small group discussions, we help children build a strong foundation in their relationship with Jesus.
