GETTING STARTED

• THE SPIRITUAL PRACTICES: Train with Jesus to become like Jesus

1. Following Jesus is more than believing the right things—it’s about becoming the kind of person who lives like Him. That kind of transformation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens as we intentionally place ourselves in rhythms and practices that open our lives to the work of the Holy Spirit.
2. Spiritual practices are not about earning God’s love or checking religious boxes. They are ways we train—like an apprentice with a master—to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what He did. Practices like prayer, Scripture meditation, solitude, generosity, and community create space for God to shape our hearts, renew our minds, and form our lives from the inside out.
3. This is a lifelong journey. There is no finish line—only ongoing transformation. So don’t rush. Start where you are. Take a next step. Stay consistent. Over time, you’ll begin to see that these practices are not just things you do… they are shaping who you are becoming.
