Following Jesus means stepping into a life of love in action. At Heyworth Christian Church, we believe every disciple has been uniquely gifted by God—not just for personal growth, but for the good of others. Scripture reminds us:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,

as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”— 1 Peter 4:10

Every disciple is a minister. Ministry isn’t reserved for a few—it’s the calling of all who follow Jesus. Each person has a role to play in strengthening the body of Christ and extending His love to the world. Serving is how we live this out. It’s how we care for one another as the body of Christ, and how we bring the love of Jesus into our community and beyond. Whether it’s welcoming guests, investing in the next generation, helping behind the scenes, playing an instrument or singing on the worship team, or serving beyond our walls, every role matters. When each person uses their gifts, the church becomes a healthy, vibrant community where people are known, valued, and experience the love of Christ.

Getting involved in ministry isn’t just something extra; it’s an important next step as an apprentice of Jesus. It’s where faith becomes active, relationships deepen, and purpose comes alive.

Talk with Rondel or Candi or one of the other elders about how you can get plugged into the ministry impact of HCC. Listen for opportunities to serve and be willing to find ways you can contribute to Kingdom impact.
